How do cell phone photos compare with digital camera photos?

If you’ve ever taken a photo with a cell phone, you’ve probably noticed that the quality is far less than that of a regular digital camera. Most cell phones capture only 1.3 megapixels of information at their highest resolution, which is far less than the 6 megapixels captured by average cameras.
Most cell phone cameras also lack high-quality lenses, optical zoom, or image stabilization. They’re fun to have on hand for quick pics, but a cell phone camera is no substitute for a digital camera.
