What is WEP?

This stands for Wired-Equivalent Privacy and it's a type of wireless network security that your router may offer.
It uses either 64-bit or 128-bit encryption and is designed to make your wireless network as secure as a wired one.
It's now considered too easy to crack, so WPA is the better security choice.
